Before we all slip off for our feasts of turkey and stuffing (or in my case, plankton and shrimp), I’d like to pause for a moment and give thanks for all the great things that happened in 2009. That’s right, I actually said “great.” Yes, the economy’s been in the tank. Business has been off. It’s been a year of tough decisions in every industry, in every region. But this year, in particular, there are still important reasons to feel gratitude.

I’m thankful for the reminder that relationships old and new should be prized above all. I’m thankful for that kick in the pants that led to new ways to reinvent myself and build on my shell. I’m thankful for crazy Mondays and occasional Saturdays. I’m thankful for clients who say “thank you.” I’m thankful for competition that makes all of us better. But most of all, I give thanks for those quirky, smart, and dedicated people who come in and put their heart and soul into this business every day. Happy Thanksgiving, Noble friends.
